Contract Signature: Energy efficiency project for the City of Trebinje in Bosnia-Herzegovina

In June 2018, EscherTec AG and the Mayor of Trebinje Luka Petrovic have signed the contract for an Energy Efficiency Project in Trebinje. The project is funded by REPIC, an interdepartmental platform of the Federal Offices of Switzerland SECO, SDC, FOEN and SFOE that promotes renewable energy, energy and resource efficiency promotion in developing and transition countries.



Switzerland supports an energy efficiency project for the City of Trebinje in Bosnia-Herzegovina

The Swiss platform REPIC, the City Administration of Trebinje and EscherTec AG support an energy efficiency project for the City of Trebinje in Bosnia Herzegovina. This energy efficiency concept for Trebinje is one step towards a "Smart City Trebinje". 

"This way, we will modernize our city house, equip it with modern systems that will contribute to energy efficiency," said Mayor Luka Petrovic. "In addition to the Swiss fundings from REPIC and EscherTec AG, funds will be provided by the Government of the Republic of Srpska", said Mayor Luka Petrovic after a meeting on March 8th, 2018 with the Swiss Ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina Andrea Rauber Saxer. 

"I welcome the efforts of the City of Trebinje to become a "Smart City", and we also talked about the realization of several projects," said Andrea Rauber Saxer.
